2. Implementation

Mounting a linear actuator into a cabinet is a great way of keeping a television hidden while not in use. BLOX can be used to control the actuator to raise and lower the television as required. Take it one step further and tie it into your Home Automation setup - changing ambient lighting, raising the television, and adjusting the thermostat with a one click Movie Night button.

In this example implementation we've mounted the actuator to the cabinet using Inside Outside Corner Brackets, providing a little forward spacing to make the cutout in the top panel neater. We've mounted a piece of 20x80mm V-Slot to the carriage of the actuator using a couple Spacer Block to mount the TV to. The VESA mount is an off the shelf part drilled to mount to V-Slot with M5 screws and Tee Nuts. We've mounted the closure for the cutout to the top of the 20x80 using two more Inside Outside corner brackets. Checkout the attached Sketchup for more details
